Two Arms Rest

Drawn in 2002. The sketch is called “Fatigued” which I drew from the Punjabi translated version of “Selected Stories Of Leo Tolstoy”. The story was “Akewe De Marre”. The book belonged to my father’s personal library in which he has many of the early Russian translated literature including Maxim Gorky, Hamzatov and Anton Chekhov.
Song is written by me or I wonder if its just a rendering. Work all day long in the farm and get soiled into soil and then lay flat on the grass under the partial shade of a tree. There will be sleep, restlessness and an eerie feeling surrounding you. That’s the destiny of my people here in Punjab, so called farmers. Its not us sitting on computers all day long who have got Earth more into relation but its them who have got more closer to the Earth. “Their body warms the Earth”
Dedicated to my father who has provided me with such sensibilities and with such books and such arts of the human kind.

What happens when you get tired of makin’ those heavy skins that require a lots of eye power and endless hours of hovering the mouse in bmp files? Skin like this happens! I was tired after drawing ibid and retradio and needed a break, but when you have learnt how to draw winamp skins you cannot sit free without working at a skin. So, I started this one. Later got busy in drawing skins for satti and in updating DevArt, meanwhile creating this skin and finally today on 23 feb 2005, 10:43 Indian standard time i’ve finished it.
The best thing i like about this skin is the equalizer where the bars have been blended into the picture in a tech way and they become a part of the picture. Was a lil tough. Even the cbuttons and shufrep have been blended in such a way that they dont mess up with the theme of the skin at all, instead they become. Rest is usual.
And about the game! Well a nice one. Silent and something where you get the gun but cant fo-fo!!
So in the end to say the mendatory things: dont rip her and she is mine!!
The skin is dedicated to Tom Clancy who wont stop writing. I wish he went back at Broadway.

A portrait done after a long time of two years or so. I had left drawing for computer games, winamp skins and studies; but devart brought the zeal back. Will try to sketch regularly now. Initially planned to draw the whole sketch (what u r seeing now is unfinished version, didnt draw the shoulders) but then i liked the raw appeal it had unfinished, thus left it half way. Its not even retouched or fine-tuned. Simply scanned it; auto equalized the quality and published it right away. Even this note has a feeling of being unfinished.
AFTERTHOUGHT: Are the scraps not art? Are they not the creations? Are they lesser art then the final deviation?
Madonna Pencil Portrait

Drawn back in 1999. Drew this suger mamma right when the ray of light was released and i remember it took me quite a while to finish her. The thing that wonders me is that i drew it with a simple pencil and an eraser of the worst kind. Wonder what one could do without resources!! Needles to say i still love the album; specially FROZEN.
This one i dedicate to my younger sister dolly….i fight with her most of the time but still i feel like dedicatin’ to her. Hell i know not why!!!

I used to draw a lots of stuff when i was in college, but nothing too serious. Here are some ramblings i did with my pencil and black ink pen. Every car lover falls for the vintage beauty once in his life, i had my share…
A concept i drew based on low roof hot rods. Ofcourse the deisgn is so stupid that if it ever gets into production, it will drink more gas then a Hummer. Eventually back then, i didnt even know the spellings of Minnesota.

Jaguar XJ6 Watercolor Painting

Backflash 1998… This is what i used to draw back then.. watercolored cars… ofcourse the background landscapes have never been my speciality… in this drawing, i tried make a guy sit on the horizon…. the experoment failed badly. This is a Jaguar XJ6 sitting pretty in the evening sun. I guess i got pretty good at headlights, wheels and grills at this stage… For your eyes only…
