Dodge Charger Pencil Drawing

Dodge charger pencil drawing portrait desert

sweet decline
the sadness of your smile
i care not to see
whatever lies within me

you look away
i bury myself deep
these hoards of passion
this sadness is me

machine, man and gasoline
heart burning at slow speed
have not, never seen
no believe in my belief

Note: Some of my friends are getting confused about these lines i wrote above. Well actually there is a fourth and concluding stanza to this song… but i didnt post it here. I have been sending it to the friends who are faving it as an appreciation. So dont be confused, you didnt fave a poem, its just me appreciating in my own way.

About the Car: The model that you see here is the 1971 R/T version of the Charger. Since its birth in 1964, Charger was updated in exteriors almost every year. In the base model, it had a small grill with double round headlights. Soon enough the round headlights were taken out and it was given a wide grill to almost no headlights in Hemi version. Actually these were longitudinal headlights designed by Harvey J. Winn.

The R/T ‘71 Charger didnt sell well due to high insurance rates. It was completely restyled with a new split grille and more rounded “fuselage” bodystyle. Hidden headlights were no longer standard, they were now optional. A rear spoiler and a “Ramcharger” hood made the option lists for the first time. A special scoop was mounted in the hood, directly above the air cleaner. Charger still boasts of having an individual styling and has its name as one of the most aesthetically pleasing muscle car.

Dedicated to *anubis46 :iconanubis46:, to his art and to his humor and to his friendliness. He is almost of my father’s age but i talk to him like dudes and he always hits me back with equal force… we share passion for automobiles and especially bikes. As for his art… im not worthy enough of defining it or elaborating on it. You have to see it to believe it.. its unusual and the ordinary at the same time. Those machines of wonder..!!

Artist’s Comments

i drive
in the dirt
of my mind
i have left behind
the migraine hours
the preparation art
never more i will know

i glide
dirt attacks
from behind
horizon expanding
numerous suns shine
glimmer in my rearview
vengeful road expands time

Note:The song you read above has a final and concluding stanza which i havent written here. if you will fave this work, i will send it across in my thanks note to you. Just my way of appreciating your time.

I saw this work here by :iconfranzart: longtime back and always had it at the back of my mind to draw it in pencils. Some months back i took his permission to draw it and he happily accepted. I drew it that very weekend, but couldnt scan it for a longtime. Finally she is up and is dedicated rightfully to ~franzart

About the car:Franzart took this snapshot from the GT4. But im guessing that this is the Subaru Impreza WRC 2005. With six World Rally Championship titles and 44 outright rally wins in the past 12 seasons, the Impreza had been the defining car in Subaru’s elevation from road car manufacturer to legend in world rallying. From its inception in 1993, the Impreza had provided a sensory assault on motorsport fans across the globe. Featuring a wider track, revised styling, composite body panels and a host of engine and suspension enhancements, the Impreza WRC2005 was the ultimate development of a rally car and represented a landmark in the collaboration between engineering and design teams in the UK and Japan from Subaru.

Built to take full advantage of the FIA’s revised world rally car dimensions, the Impreza WRC2005 bodyshell was wider than its predecessor by 30mm, which gave it a slightly more aggressive look in the front and rear wheel arches. Another fresh feature of the exterior styling was the carefully sculpted wheel arches, penned by the Japanese stylists, which help balance the increased track with the design of the front and rear bodywork. As well as being stiffer than the WRC2004, the bodyshell of the Impreza WRC2005 featured more composite panels than any of its predecessors. These included new front and rear wheel arches, in addition to the front and rear bumpers. At the front end, the layout of the radiator and turbo intercooler followed the same basic concept as before, but had been further refined. The re-styled front bumper incorporated lessons learned over the last 12 months and efficiently managed the flow of air around the front of the car and through the cooling systems.

Personally, i place Subaru Impreza only after Mitsubishi Lancer Evo series. I really hope to draw them as well.

Ford Mustang Pencil Drawing

pencil drawing of american muscle car ford mustang

In our headlights, staring, bleak, beer cans, deer’s eyes
On the asphalt underneath, our crushed plans and my lies
Lonely street signs, powerlines, they keep on flashing, flashing by

And we keep driving into the night
It’s a late goodbye, such a late goodbye

Your breath hot upon my cheek, and we crossed, that line
You made me strong when I was feeling weak, and we crossed, that one time
Screaming stop signs, staring wild eyes, keep on flashing, flashing by

And we keep driving into the night
It’s a late goodbye, such a late goodbye

—– from “Late Goodbye” by Poets of The Fall

Ford Mustang has always been an object of my affection, a love affair. The curves, the shear beauty and the smooth blends of this feminine beauty as mixed with masculine power house are unmatched. This car is poetry, a poem written in pleasure and dignity and so I felt while drawing her. This drawing wasnt meant to be a polished one, in fact i wanted it to come out as a leaflet or something, i wanted it to have a pencil feel to it. It has a retro feel to it, reminiscent of the good ol’ golden years.

Dedicated to me ladi Perfect-Defect. Itz just a homage from dah brute, barbarian of dah mountains. Well Dani and me are once again long conversationalists, who can talk without a point. But mostly we imagine ourselves to be some strange characters. Dani is supposed to be the etiquette defined Queen of highlands, and im supposed to be the beastie brute Barbarian with a lil concern for the manners, and so most of our conversations are filled with the strange interactions of the two. Need I say that I enjoy them

AFTERTHOUGHT: Its not the software that renders it, its your eye that accepts it.

Suzuki Hayabusa Watercolor Portrait

when im a refugee
when im dumb enough
to stand by you
and ready to be left alone
once again
i ride my bike
my forever girl.

forever girl.

Was just talking to a friend of mine savioth who is a bike racer and is recently going through a heartache. This is what I just said to him, “Move on…. just keep ridin’ your bike, she is your forever gal.” and these lines came to my mind. Bikes are forever your gals, they never leave you alone, they get hurt when you get hurt, and instead they take more of the pain. I have my forever girl.

Regarding this work, well it’s a blast from the past. As clearly indicated it’s a work from 2000, when I used to paint with watercolors. It’s a Suzuki Hayabusa done in watercolors. Actually I had completely forgotten this work, its just that a longtime back while talking to ~savioth only, it came to my mind that I had drawn two water colored bikes and so I spent two days finding them in my rooms. One of them is here, ill post the other one later. The original dimensions of this work are about 15 * 9 cms. Yes those are the exact dimensions. I used to draw very small works and this one is one of many. I know that the work is not really detailed and is pretty raw, but I drew it with just one brush. All the colors and details you see have been painted with one brush only. So no wonder that its rough.

And this oldie artwork goes to gramarye aka Renee and her cats. Renee has been a great friend and has been an agreeable helper who has always been there to help. I wont talk about who she is at DevArt and what she is more known for, coz right now im taking her for just a friend of mine as an individual for who she is, for who she is with her cats and for who she is with her kids. Thanks a lot for being there Renee and for you do. This work is not really great, but its from the times when I used to draw for pleasure and so I hope you will accept it for a dedication.

Outside DevArt, I want to dedicate this work to my most deadly enemy Krishnan Rajagopal aka eno/ The Prof. who is basically a software engineer. Whenever I find him at Yahoo, I wish he was dead and I always ask for his confirmation if he is dead yet. But seriously he is the best mind I have ever found between two ears. There is no topic on which he cant give a long lecture with facts and accumulated data, and if he can, a dozen of links n internet. Met him at Skoar forums and I seriously regret the day I met him. But yes, he is an asset to have around, a great friend, so numb and so down to earth (how I wish he was under the earth). Here it is eno, this one is for you. Well its an old work of mine and I hope our friendship gets old like this one. Don’t mind my positive thoughts about you, you know I really mean them… lol

Here is mah lady.. mah fairlady. Drew it sometime back, but waited for the right time to submit it. I wanted to add it to some new series of mine, but couldn’t think of any at the moment, but I will add it to some new series of mine.

Dedicated to lancechf, who has wiped out whole gallery of mine with his faves. Great artist and a great friend, I must say. His art is a lot higher then the attention he has received, for he is skilled in both traditional and digital art. Hope he stays a friend forever

Im having a hangover from human portraits and drawing cars and bikes is my relief for the moment. Here is a pencil portrait of the red horse Ferrari’s new baby F430(not that new now) and its one of many to come. In future plans im gonna draw Ducati and Hondas for the Burning Bike Series and later ill do a Cruiser Bike Series. Some Classic series about old cars, a Mustang series, F1 Series and stuff. A few hollywood portraits will also be there. Its gonna be a long but fun time. This portrait im going to put in Beautiful Back Series lol, where a few cars with a great rear end will be added…. and of course pretty soon ill submit the WIPs of this work too.

Dedication on DevArt
Well this work is dedicated to kimberley-tomorrow for she is my fave Earthling. Though i still wonder why the hell did i marry an Earthling…! There were so many beauties at Venus, but no.. no.. i had to come to Earth.. Jeez.. well thats why they say,”There are only Blondes at Mars”. Ha ha ha ha.. well its just one of many chat topics between me and Kimb at =Thumbshare. She is great to talk to, i really enjoy having talks with her. this one is for you kimb, hope that you will like it.

Dedication out of DevArt
Well i always wanted to dedicate something to Mana Bai. He is the guy (not really a guy as he has two daughters) who always makes things available to me and my friesnds. Whatever you need related with computers, he must be having it. just name it… and he loves computer games, man how many times we have borrowed games from him. There is no game that he cant finish… and top of it.. he really doesnt understand English, but still without understanding he finishes them all(he finished Syberia for that matter). and not forget the Mana Theatre…lol Its our fave hangout place, his shop… we mostly sit at his shop and enjoy watching movies at his computer and sorround sound system.. Man he is an inspiration to all of us, he has the child in him alive, he enjoys everything that he comes around with. All hail to Mana bai

Runner Up- TROY BAYLISS/ DUCATI 996R

This is the final image for the series. If i ever get tempted to draw any other super bike, then ill add more. Lately i have been busy like hell and there were no chances of my posting any work at DevArt, but as luck must have it, for last few days i have been tempered by a virus in my system. last night my system completely ran out.. and i had nothing to do for the night, so i picked up my sketch book and started drawing… and the result is here. As i drew it in one go, and my system wasn’t working, i will not be able to provide WIPs for this one. Well as i didn’t have anything to do this morning either so i have finished one more work… that will come later.

I want to dedicate this work of mine to savioth a professional bike racer. He became a good friend after my submission of BB I and has been a friend from then onwards. I told him that ill dedicate one of my works to him and i was waiting for a proper work. I guess this is the best work to dedicate to him. “We are the Champions..!!”

i ride in the sun
and I ride in the rain
don’t push so hard
and I don’t feel the strain
don’t know where I’m going
so I stick to the path
there is no yesterday
‘cos I never look back
ask me the future
i don’t know what it’s like
i don’t stray the path
i just ride my bike

—”Ride My bike” by ICONS

Latest work. This is SUZUKI R GSX. I have never worked so hard on any other work before. The grain of the paper bound me from detailing it further. This work hasnt be retouched at all in any digital software, only the brightness and contrast has been auto equalized. Soon ill provide the WIPs as i always do.

This work is dedicated to xXRed-HaloXx with whom im having an interesting conversation at Ferrari F430 pencil portrait. She has an amazing talent for describing things in poetic ways. People describe poetic things in poetry but she describes unpoetic things in poetic way. I have been mesmerized by her words and i cant think of anyone else but her to dedicate this work of mine.

Artist Comments on devart back in 14 Aug 2005

Here, finally something wanted to do from a long time. Bikes, fast bikes… I have drawn enough of portraits and figures, now i wanted to move on to other stuff and here i just moved. Though i know it will not get much attention as only hot beauties are born for that, but still i did what i wanted to. The bike is YAMAHA YZF-R6 and needless to say, i love it…!!

Ive drawn this work from the magazine Overdrive, the best automobile mag of India and which has been my companion on the journeys. I wanna dedicate this work to my fave Automobile mag Overdrive…

On Devart i wanna dedicate this work to darkmyth She is a very new friend of mine. She wanted me to do a commission for her(frankly i never knew what commissions are, she explained it to me and i was like… man ive been doing them already) And i must say strictly THIS IS NOT A COMMISSION, this is my homage to my friend, my love for my friend. As commissions are always paid or favoured somehow, this work fails to be a commission, as no one can ever payback my love. So here u go Myth…
